Summer Norsebox Reveal!

Items

Sip Cups | Studio Arhoj | $44

Studio Arhoj, located in Copenhagen, is a small independent design and production studio run by founder Anders Arhoj.

Having studied in Tokyo, Anders moved back to Denmark and began operating a smell design studio from his apartment in Vesterbro.

By 2013, Anders officially began Studio Arhoj in an old envelope factory in Islands Islands Brygge, a former industrial area just outside of Central Copenhagen. Since pivoting to its current form, Studio Arhoj has become known globally for hand thrown and cast ceramic items. Beyond product manufacturing, the design firm works on projects in interior design (Umami Mart, Oakland), branding and illustration.

For the Summer Norsebox, we chose to feature a set of Sip Cups, hand-glazed just weeks before our shipping date! The sip cups come in a variety of gorgeous colors - from Danish Winter to Dark Forest. We recommend displaying on a open shelf and using the cups for espresso, tea, or even tiny plants!

Bruk Carafe | Kosta Boda | $50

Founded in 1742 in the heart of the dense forests in Småland, Sweden, Kosta glassworks provided wealthy families from Stockholm and Karlskrona with fine utility glassware for over 150 years.

After receiving criticism that its products were unoriginal during the General Art and Industrial Exposition of Stockholm in 1897, Kosta pivoted to employing its own designers, laying the foundation for years to come.

Today's Kosta Boda was formed through a merger of the the glassworks companies in the communities of Kosta, Boda, and Åfors, now known as Orrefors Kosta Boda AB. Manufacturing by designers, glassblowers, cutters, painters and engravers still takes place at the principal glassworks in Kosta and Åfors Glassworks.

We chose to feature the Bruk Carafe in blue and grey. The Bruk Carafe is perfect for summer dinner parties and guests. Enjoy!
