2016 Summer Norsebox Reveal!
SUMMER 2016 | RETRO
This Summer is all about outdoor entertaining! We’re seeing tons of color and homage paid to retro Scandinavian design. As the industry takes on new, fun patterns, they can’t help but embrace the past. So sit outside, enjoy the timeless, nature-inspired Ultima Thule and Almedahls designs.
ALMEDAHLS
SILL tea towel | $19
About
The “Sill” pattern was created by Marianne Nillsson in 1955. Sill, Swedish for herring, is a staple in Swedish cuisine, and the pattern is of paramount importance in Scandinavian design.

IITTALA
ULTIMA THULE | $60
About
It has now been 100 years since the birth of designer Tapio Wirkkala, whose works helped define Iittala, the most famous being Ultima Thule.
Born in Hanko, Finland, Wirkkala’s Ultima Thule was inpired by the melting ice of Lapland during the 1960s. The exclusive design reflects the thousands of hours that Wirkkala spent perfecting the glass-blowing technique.

We love these glasses because they work in any season! Pour your favorite cocktail, or dress up some water with basil and lemon. For the summer, we highly recommend rhubarb mojitos! Regardless, be sure to look through the bottom and marvel at the timeless work of Wirkkala.
And the inserts!
So get outside and entertaining! Tag your photos on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter to @Norsebox for a chance to win FERM Living goodies!
